PostHeaderIcon Hair Updos that will Stun

Every woman has one of those nights where she just wants to stun everyone in the room. This can be anything from Homecoming to Christmas or maybe just a Tuesday. No matter what it is for, a great Hair Updo will be the centerpiece of your night out. How about making one of those Curly Hair Updos?

These are the hair choice of the rich and the famous alike. You would have spotted them for sure on the red carpet at any top Hollywood Shindig. They are also used to spice up the models at the worlds best fashion shows. The great news is that these hair updos are simple and easy to replicate with a few basic tips.

For starters, curly hair updos are no way hard in themselves. It takes just a few easy steps and you will be having heads turn where ever you go. Lets take a look at two methods.

Curling Twists: The perfect updo for anyone who already has curly or wavy hair that is below the shoulders in length. All you need is a few bobby pins and a little time.

Start by gathering all your hair into a pony tail and twist it together along the entire length. Next step is to wrap your tail into a bun. Now take your bobby pins and starting from the bottom, randomly pin the bun to stick together. Okay, now you have an amazing updo that will look like you spent a fortune on it.

Sculpting curls: Now we are going to get a little more complex. Don’t be put off by this. You’ll be amazed at how simple this can be. Lets take a look.

To start with you will need some sculpting gel, a curling iron, some bobby pins and a hair band. Grab all your stuff and put it around you.

Now, with this look you should smooth down the front of your hair and place the rest into a ponytail that sits high on your head. Use the hair band to do this. Split the loose parts and put some gel or cream into each. Once it is dry, start curling with the iron. As you finish each curl, pin it up with the bobby pins.

These are just two hair updos that will have you looking stunning in no time at all. And with a little bit of practice, you will find it takes no time at all to do them.

PostHeaderIcon Do It Yourself Updos and Have Fun

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Updos

“You look different today,” my beloved said to me once while we were having dinner. I smiled demurely and said, “Really, why do you think so?” And he answered, “Something with your hair. It makes you look sexy.”

This was the greatest compliment I have ever received since my mom praised me for taking my first baby steps. Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. It feels good for your beloved to say that you look beautiful and sexy.

At that time, I was wearing this simple updo that I did myself. Basically, I made an updo without sleeking it with styling products so much, so it looks kind of messy and sassy. I let the ends stick out from the bun, while the rest of my hair was treated with some styling agents that added volume to it. I made sure that some tendrils framed my face, concealing some parts of my ear. Through this, I was able to show off my greater assets and conceal some of my less-than-nice features (I have often been teased about having big ears that rival those of Prince Charles’).

Creating your own updo is fun, and personally, I find it therapeutic. Having a new updo makes you look like an entirely different person, and it allows you to be an entirely different person as well. Try it some time.

PostHeaderIcon Easy Do It Yourself Updo – Look Elegant Everyday

Your hair is undoubtedly one of the most versatile parts of your body, and its mere appearance can make or break the look you want to achieve. Whether it’s just for work or school or a crazy night out, there are different hair styles for different occasions.

Sometimes, when I’m feeling a bit experimental, I try on different looks just to see if there is one look that suits a particular occasion. While there are no hard and fast rules for it, I found that nothing suits gala and black-tie events more than an updo. Don’t believe me? Then look at all those red carpet pictures of celebrities. In almost 9 out of 10 pictures, women had their hair styled in some variant of an updo.

What they have, and common people like us don’t, is the luxury of having enough money to pay for stylists. After all, when it really comes down to it, would you spend your hard-earned cash just to make you look good for one night and then starve for the next few weeks?

This is why it is important to learn how to make an updo by yourself. Not only will it save you money, you can experiment and choose which updo will look good on you. One simple updo I find easy to do looks like an elegant double bun. To do this, split your hair from above the right ear to above the other ear. Hold that part in place while smoothing out the remaining hair. Now (you may need some styling products for this) roll your hair towards your scalp, as if you were wrapping it around a roller. Secure it to your scalp with pins. Do the same with the remaining hair.

See how easy it is? Of course, it will take some practice before you fully perfect the Do It Yourself Updo, but you have all the time in the world. Experiment and find your inner stylist.
